LABOR ENERGISING BLUE GUM PARK

Labor Member for Tangney Sam Lim today announced that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will deliver solar panels and a battery for Blue Gum Park Tennis Club in Brentwood.

This $105,000 election commitment will improve the club’s energy efficiency and reduce lighting costs.

Blue Gum Park Tennis Club was established more than 50 years ago and has more than 900 regular players.

Today’s announcement builds on Sam Lim’s previous delivery of a $70,000 commitment after the 2022 election to upgrade a squash court at the club.

Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.

Quotes attributable to Sam Lim, Federal Member for Tangney:

“The Blue Gum Park Tennis Club has been a community institution for more than 50 years.

“After upgrading a squash court at the club, this election commitment would provide new solar panels and a battery to help reduce their energy costs.

“Only a re-elected Albanese Labor Government can be trusted to deliver the infrastructure our sport clubs need.”
